Sivananda Hatha is an older, traditional style of yoga that involves longer resting poses, in between each asana, and at the end of the class. Sivananda Hatha yoga traditionally starts the practice with 2 incredibly cleansing, & revitalizing breathing exercises or pranayama, a series of sun salutations, the 12 base yoga poses, and lastly ending with a 10–15-minute resting pose, or savasana (everyone's favorite!).
